Dogwood Donut Shop owner, Maggie Sharpe is providing an unusual service at the county fair’s eating contests. Her donuts are supposed to be palate cleansers, which works out great until one of the contestants takes a dive into his platter of hot peppers.

While Maggie is confident…mostly…that her delectable donuts have nothing to do with what happened to the contestant, she’s determined to find out what really happened, and why.

With pressure mounting, and her kitchen closed, she devotes her energies and attention to investigating the contestant’s death. Her group of amazing friends prove once again that she can totally rely on them when the heat is on and she finds herself in sticky situations.
